You Have Choices Too!!
So many of us spend our days running down our task lists of “shoulds” and “have tos” … I should eat better.. I should go to the gym.. I should read a book.. or maybe it goes more like… I have to do the laundry… I have to clean the house… I need to balance the check book…
No matter… regardless if it’s have tos, need tos or shoulds the result is the same. We spend our days feeling as if we have done something wrong or are going to do something wrong. Ever stop to think about just who decided that we should do these things? Where did those beliefs originate? And further, why is it that we make it a habit of carrying these beliefs with us to torment ourselves with? We set ourselves up to feel BAD.. to feel like victims of our circumstances. We place outside of us the expectations on which we base our lives. And on most days, at the end of the day there’s not much to be grateful for other than that the day has passed.
Now, let’s just assume for a minute that we no longer had the option of using the words, I have to, I should or I need to… let’s say we had the words “I could.. if I wanted to do it, I could…” how do you think that would change things?
Well, let’s look… If I wanted to, I could clean the house… hmmm.. If I wanted to I could go to the gym… ok, not bad… If I wanted to I could eat better… If I wanted to I could balance the check book… wow… empowering and yet a little intimidating at the same time.. no, we can’t put the blame on anyone else any more but with one little switch the power to create our own reality is in our hands. We now have choices!!
Making choices is what life is about!!
If you still can’t seem to get the things done that you have decided you would like to get done then take a closer look within yourself.. you’ll find the answer if you just listen to your heart.
The choice is yours… make the choice to set yourself free & celebrate life!

What is interesting is that by having the power of choice.. and looking at life that way; we end up far more powerful… not powerless we are in our lives. Good stuff.
